The 143rd edition of the Women’s US Open starts on Monday in New York.
Polish star Iga Swiatek won her first US Open title at last year’s event, defeating Ons Jabeur 6-2 7-6 in the final.
Swiatek heads into this week’s event as the 9/4 favourite to win the 2023 Women’s US Open. But she did exit the Western & Southern Open at the semi-final stage to Coco Gauff in Cincinnati last week.
The Pole is 53-9 on the year, taking 4 singles titles.
Belarus’ Aryna Sabalenka is the second favourite at 9/2. The 25-year-old is looking to add to the Australian Open that she won back in January. She has reached the semi-finals for each of the two previous editions of the US Open.
Sabalenka is 44-10 on the year and beat Swiatek in three sets in the final of the Madrid Open back in April.
2022 Wimbledon champion and 2023 Australian Open runner-up, Elena Rybakina is looking to add a second Grand Slam to her achivements as the 6/1 third favourite at the 2023 Women’s US Open.
The Kazakhstan representative is 39-11 on the year with 2 singles titles; Indian Wells against Sabalenka, and the Italian Open in May.
Coco Gauff has seen her odds come down to 8/1 to win the Women’s US Open championship following her recent success at the Cincinnati Open.
The first 12 favourites are as follows:
