The Dallas Cowboys won only their fouth playoff game since 1996 in order to progress to the Divisional Round this weekend.
Dak Prescott and co got the job done in a convincing 31-14 win at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who had gone 8-9 in the regular season to win the NFC South.
San Francisco have got stronger and stronger as the season has gone on and made it 11 wins straight in thrashing the Seattle Seahawks 41-23 last weekend.
Christian McCaffrey has been excellent since they aquired him in a trade with the Carolina Panthers, whilst Mr Irrelevant Brock Purdy is getting the job done at Quarterback. Tight End George Kittle continues to be his favourite target, but Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk are coming up big too.
The 49ers have one of the best defences in the league too to back up an offence that has been pointing points on the board in recent weeks. Yes, the Cowboys can score too but I expect them to find this a much tougher job than what they had in Tampa Bay. And defensively, I don’t see them hanging around with the 49ers either.
What is the Cowboys @ 49ers money line?
The San Francisco 49ers are 1/2 to win and -3.5 against the spread to reach the NFC Championship.
Dallas @ San Francisco pick
The spread is a lot closer than we were expecting as San Francisco’s defence has the ability to turn Dak Prescott over on more than one occasion. On the other side of the ball I don’t think Dallas’ defence is all that great and therefore the hosts will put up a fair few points on their way to a comfortable victory.
Pick: San Francisco 49ers -3.5 is 10/11
