Arizona Cardinals @ LA Rams Wild Card preview

The first-ever Monday night game on wild card weekend takes place at SoFi Stadium as NFC West rivals LA Rams (12-5) face the Arizona Cardinals (11-6).

These two teams have split the previous meetings this season, with Kyler Murray and co winning 37-20 at this stadium in week 4 as part of their 7-0 start.

Matthew Stafford tied the series in week 14 as the Rams won 30-23 in Arizona as they won 6 of their last 7.

The Cardinals head into the post-season with the poorest form, winning just one of their final five games, which includes defeats at Detroit and home to Seattle. Their sole win in that run was at the Dallas Cowboys though, who are also in the playoffs.

Points should be expected in this team as have been in both previous meetings this season with an average of 55 points. The sportsbooks have set the under/over at 49.5.

I am confident that the Rams’ front seven will get to Murray, pressure him and ultimately force mistakes out of the exciting quarterback, on their way to victory. Aaron Donald did that on his own last month.

Whilst the Cardinals do have a decent defence themselves and Stafford is one of the most overrated quarterbacks in the league, I do still think his offence has enough to get the job done and move onto the Divisional Round.

Pick: LA Rams -3 is 10/11
