Who are the 2022 FA Cup favourites?

The 3rd round of the 2021-22 English FA Cup starts on Friday night as lowly Swindon Town will play host to runaway Premier League leaders Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola’s side have opened up a 10-point lead at the top of the Premier League table to start 2022 and are now just 1.1 to win the league – 2 weeks ago we tipped them as a 1.4 dead cert.

Despite being champions of England for five of the past 10 seasons, they have only won the FA Cup once in that time. The Spanish manager has often rotated his side for this competition, with both the league and UEFA Champions League being his priority.

Despite this, the Citizens are often the bookmakers’ favourites heading into the 3rd round and this season is no difference. The 2019 winners are as short as 7/2 to lift the trophy again this season. Last season’s runners-up Chelsea are the next shortest odds, at 6/1.

The Champions League will certainly be the main focus for City between now and May, and have been handed a favourable second round time next month against Sporting CP.

The top 20 odds for the 2021-22 FA Cup winner are:

Man City 7/2
Chelsea 6/1
Liverpool 15/2
Man Utd 8/1
Arsenal 14/1
Spurs 14/1
Leicester 20/1
West Ham 25/1
Everton 33/1
Aston Villa 35/1
Wolves 40/1
Leeds 50/1
Crystal Palace 50/1
Brighton 50/1
Southampton 66/1
Newcastle 66/1
Brentford 80/1
Burnley 100/1
Norwich 150/1
Watford 150/1
