The 2020 NFL playoffs continue this weekend as number one seeds Kansas City Chiefs and Green Bay Packers return from their week’s off.
Super Wildcard weekend didn’t see too many shocks, with Cleveland Browns victory over divisional rivals Pittsburgh and perhaps LA Rams’ win at Seattle Seahawks being the only surprises.
Both the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (@ Washington Football Team) and Baltimore Ravens (@ Tennessee Titans) had been odds on favourites despite being on the road.
The matches in order of kickoff are as follows:
LA Rams @ Green Bay Packers
Sean McVay’s side came away from Seattle with a comprehensive victory but not without injuries. Key players Aaron Donald, Cooper Kupp and quarterback John Wolford or went off injured during the game.
The Green Bay Packers are our favourites to go all the way this year and won’t see any problems in this matchup if Donald is out, let alone the two offensive players as well.
Spread: Green Bay Packers -6.5
Odds: Green Bay Packers 5/16 | LA Rams 13/5
Baltimore Ravens @ Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills won their first playoff match in 25 years as they narrowly hung onto a 27-24 victory over the Indianapolis Colts in the Super Wildcard round.
Baltimore will head to New York feeling confident after an excellent defensive showing against rivals Tennessee, which saw them come from a 0-10 deficit to win 20-13 in a game that never looked in doubt after the AFC North team took the lead.
Spread: Buffalo Bills -2.5
Odds: Buffalo Bills 20/27 | Baltimore Ravens 23/20
Cleveland Browns @ Kansas City Chiefs
You need to go back 26 years to find Cleveland’s previous playoff win before last weekend’s 48-37 victory over the Steelers, which included a 28-0 lead at the end of the 1st quarter.
Quarterback Baker Mayfield is the oldest starting quarterback left in the AFC, at 25. He will need the performance of his life just to have a prayer in defeating the defending Super Bowl champions though.
Andy Reid’s record after the bye week is immaculate and the Kansas City Chiefs have endless weapons to cause problems for the Browns defence.
Spread: Kansas City Chiefs -10
Odds: Kansas City Chiefs 4/21 | Cleveland Browns 4/1
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ New Orleans Saints
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be looking to record their first victory over NFC South rivals New Orleans in the third attempt this season.
Drew Brees and co were always in control of their 21-3 victory over the Chicago Bears on Sunday but will have a difficult time slowing down Tom Brady and co who have been on fire in recent weeks.
Arguably the matchup of the NFL Divisional Round this weekend.
Spread: New Orleans Saints -3
Odds: New Orleans Saints 10/17 | Tampa Bay Buccaneers 6/4
