The Baltimore Ravens are the new favourites to win the 2021 Super Bowl with the sportsbooks following the weekend’s games.
John Harbaugh’s team had come into the new season as second favourites behind defending champion Kansas City Chiefs but have seen their odds cut following back-to-back impressive victories.
Baltimore annihilated AFC North rivals Cleveland Browns 38-6 in week 1 with Lemar Jackson looking impressive in the air and not relying on his legs much at all.
This past Sunday the two-time Super Bowl champions thrashed the Houston Texans 33-16. Although DeShaun Watson’s side have had the toughest opening two matches so far, many expect them to reach the post-season, if not bounce back from 0-2 and win the AFC South.
Meanwhile, the Chiefs started the season with a 34-20 win over the Texans on the opening Thursday. However, Andy Reid’s side struggled to get much going on offence in week 2, trailing to the LA Charges and rookie quarterback Johnny Herbert for much of the game before Harrison Butker’s 58-yard winning Field Goal in overtime.
As a result, the Ravens’ odds to win the Super Bowl have dropped to 5/1 favourites whilst the Chiefs are now back at 11/2. The full odds for the new NFL season are as follows:
