Kansas City Chiefs start as 2020 Super Bowl favourites

The defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs will start the 2020 NFL season on Thursday night as the favourites to go all the way again.

Andy Reid’s side came from behind to beat the San Francisco 49ers 31-20 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida back in February, having entered the fourth quarter with a 10-point deficit.

The Chiefs kickoff the new season on Thursday by welcoming DeShaun Watson at the Houston Texans to Arrowhead Stadium.

Sportsbooks have made the Chiefs as the 6/1 favourites to win the 2020 Super Bowl, which is scheduled to take place at Tampa Bay’s Raymond James Stadium on Sunday 7 February 2021.

The AFC West side are followed by the Baltimore Ravens at 13/2 as second favourites. Lamar Jackson lead the AFC North franchise to the number 1 seed last season before coming undone to the Tennessee Titans in the playoffs.

The shortest odds you’ll find in the NFC as last season’s Super Bowl finalists the 49ers, who have been given odds of 11/1 to lift the big one for the first time since 1994.

New Orleans Saints closely follow at 12/1 while Tom Brady’s Buccaneers are fifth favourites at 14/1.
