The only two previous winners of the Champions League left in the 2019-20 competition meet on Friday night as Barcelona and Bayern Munich go head-to-head.
Bayern Munich have been on fire since the turn of the year, winning 19 of their final 20 Bundesliga games under Hansi Flick, winning the German double.
Flick’s side are rightfully the favourites for this tie and in my opinion should be the favourites to win the trophy, though bookmakers currently have Manchester City at shorter odds.
They have looked unstoppable since the restart, with Robert Lewandowksi not the only goalscorer in their team anymore. Serge Gnabry, Thomas Muller, Phillip Coutinho and Leon Goretzka all threats.
In fact, the Bavarians are loaded with offensive threat, with Alphonso Davies bombing on from left-back, Joshua Kimmich and excellent passer of the ball, and Thiago Alcantara a playmaker from deep.
Meanwhile, Barcelona let slip of the La Liga title to Real Madrid after the restart and look in great decline. Luis Suarez is far short of what he used to be and the defence isn’t as good as it once was.
With all this in mind I really expect a Bayern Munich win on Friday night and would not be surprised if it was a comfortable one too.
Best bet: Bayern Munich to win is 2.00 with Betfair
