Rain put a halt on the day four of the third test at Old Trafford between England and the West Indies on Monday. The forecast is much better for today, with the clouds not expected to ruin the action.
Stuart Broad’s six wickets had left England on the verge of a series victory at the end of day three but now the West Indies could play for a draw. They will start the day 10/2 and needing 369 runs to win.
The West Indian batting has not shown any great promise during this series but the rain disruption could have done wonders for the players who had previously looked very tired.
England had been very lucky in the first three days and hopefully day five will see sufficient action for the players to complete the job they had started over the weekend.
Tuesday could be an opportunity for West Indies’ batsmen to shine. We could certainly see some resistance from them in the middle in order to play for a draw.
With this in mind, you can still get 1.80 on the West Indies scoring under 188.5 runs in their second innings which looks like great value for money for a team that aren’t going to be playing for the win. You can find more odds on this cricket matches and more if you visit here.
On top of that, the English bowlers have been completely on top during this series so far and will be looking to get some quick wickets to start the day’s session.
England are 1/3 to get the job done on the final day, whilst West Indies are 9/4 to hang in for the draw. These odds are likely to jump around throughout the day, based on the timings of the wickets or whether the West Indies can frustrate England’s bowlers.
