The San Francisco 49ers are currently 21/20 outsiders to win Super Bowl LIV.
Kyle Shanahan’s side opened as 1/1 second favourites after the two Championship games on Sunday 19 January 2020 and have seen their odds rise slightly in the days following.
The 49ers were comfortable 37-20 winners over the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship at Levi’s Stadium, after running out to a 27-0 half-time lead. They finished the regular season 13-3 and entered the playoffs as the #1 seed before seeing off the Minnesota Vikings 27-10 in the Divisional Round.
This will be San Francisco’s first Super Bowl appearance in seven years since they were narrowly beaten by the Baltimore Ravens. The 49ers last lifted the Vince Lombardi trophy back in 1994.
They will face the Kansas City Chiefs who finished the regular season 12-4 and were the bookmakers’ pre-season favourites to win the Super Bowl.
Andy Reid’s side were 35-24 winners over the Tennessee Titans in the AFC Championship, after beating the Houston Texans 51-31 in the Divisional Round.
Super Bowl LIV takes place at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on Sunday 2 February 2020.
