The number 6 seed Tennessee Titans have upset the New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens to earn their spot in the AFC Championship this weekend.
Mike Vrabel’s side will walk into Arrowhead Stadium to face a Kansas City Chiefs side that put up 51 points on AFC South rivals Houston on Sunday, including seven consecutive touchdown scoring drives. In comparison, Tennessee quarterback Ryan Tannehill only completed seven passes on Saturday.
Baltimore’s exit has seen the Chiefs become the 13/10 favourites for the Super Bowl with just four teams remaining. The San Francisco 49ers do follow closely, at 6/4. The Tennessee Titans remain the longshot once again, at 15/2, greater odds than the 13/2 Green Bay Packers.
Derrick Henry has been a machine over the past three weeks, with 99 touches and 1 passing touchdown. The running back, in his contract year, has now put up four of the top six single game rushing yards for the 2019 season.
However, Andy Reid is good at scheming and you can be sure he’ll have a plan to keep Henry in check, even if the Alabama Crimson Tide star did put up 188 yards on them in a 35-32 victory back in week 10.
Tennessee’s miracle ends this weekend. They won’t have the defence to keep up with Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill and co. On offence, they simply aren’t getting enough production out of Ryan Tannehill. Kansas City Chiefs are 2/7 favourites.
