The San Francisco 49ers comfortably saw off the Minnesota Vikings on Saturday to book their place into the NFC Championship.
Green Bay Packers ran out to a big lead early on the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday night but found themselves hanging onto a 28-23 win in the end.
I like Aaron Rodgers in clutch situations but I don’t see him being able to beat this elite defence on his own. He has a top receiver in Davante Adams but little other reliable targets. Adam Jones and Jamaal Williams give Green Bay good options running the ball but will have a tough time against the San Francisco front seven.
The 49ers were 37-8 winners between these two back in week 12, and whilst they did lose two of their last five in the regular season, they looked refreshed and back in form this past weekend.
It would be fitting to many that the 100th NFL season ends with a rematch of Super Bowl I between Green Bay and the Kansas City Chiefs, but I think the Packers fall short in this one. The sportsbooks have the hosts in California as the 2/7 favourites.
