Jose Mourinho odds on for Tottenham job

Former Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid manager, Jose Mourinho, has emerged as the odds on favourite to become the next Tottenham Hotspur manager.

This comes following the dismissal of Mauricio Pochettino in North London on Tuesday night.

The Argentine manager had been in charge of Spurs for five years but leaves the club down in 14th place in the Premier League after 11 games.

Pochettino had guided Tottenham to four consecutive top four finishes and the club’s first-ever UEFA Champions League final back in June, where they were beaten 2-0 by fellow English Premier League side, Liverpool.

Jose Mourinho has already emerged as the bookmakers’ favourite, with the Portuguese manager’s odds as short as 4/6. One things these odds suggest the Special One could be named as the new Spurs boss as early as tomorrow.

Tottenham Hotspur’s next game is away to London rivals West Ham United on Saturday lunchtime, before hosting Olympiacos in the Champions League midweek.

The odds for Tottenham’s next manager are as follows:

Jose Mourinho 4/6
Carlo Ancelotti 11/2
Massimiliano Allegri 7/1
Eddie Howe 14/1
Brendan Rodgers 14/1
Erik ten Hag 14/1
Julian Nagelsmann 16/1
