Liverpool will start Saturday evening’s UEFA Champions League final as 1/1 favourites against fellow English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur.
The Reds finished with a record number of points as runners-up by one point to Manchester City in their domestic league, while also doing the double over Tottenham during the season.
Liverpool reached the final of this competition last season where they were beaten 3-1 by Real Madrid. Should they be successful this time around they will lift Europe’s most prestigious club cup competition for a sixth time.
Tottenham will be competing in their first final at this level and finished fourth in the Premier League this past season. The domestic league actually finished three weeks ago meaning both sides have had plenty of time to recover and prepare for their biggest game of the season in the Spanish capital of Madrid.
The bookmakers are pricing Liverpool as the favourites to win the trophy in 90 minutes. It has been reported that no side have no major injury concerns, though Spurs striker Harry Kane remains a doubt as to whether he will start on the pitch or on the substitutes bench.
