How to play Sic Bo
Sic Bo, also known as Lucky
Dice, originated in ancient China where it was first played with numbered
bricks. The term Sic Bo literally translates to "dice pair" and was
brought to the United States by Chinese immigrants of the nineteenth
century, where it was later adapted as a casino game.
Today Sic Bo can be found in
many Asian gaming rooms in Atlantic City and Las Vegas, but the majority
of the game is played at online casinos, in fact, every Casino featured
on this site and all of the
best microgaming Casinos offers the game.
Sic Bo has strong potential
for entertainment and payoffs and is considered by many people to be
one of the simplest casino games.

The first time a player sees a Sic Bo table, it may
appear crowded and confusing. However, its appearance is misleading
as most players will quickly learn. Sic Bo is based on the roll of three
dice, and the game's objective is to accurately guess the outcome of
the roll. A player is allowed to make multiple bets of different amounts.
In addition, specific wagers and wins are indicated by lighted areas
of the table, eliminating the need for memorization of payouts or odds.
In Sic Bo, payouts are determined by the odds associated
with an individual bet. Generally speaking, the more difficult the odds,
the higher the payoff will be. To win the game, the result of the dice
roll must match the bet placed by a player exactly.
There are seven different types of bets in Sic Bo.
Two of the most common wagers made are placed on "Small" or "Big". Small
refers to wagering that the total of the three dice will be between
four and ten; consequently, bets on Big include a total of eleven to
seventeen. However, if a triple is rolled, the player will automatically
lose a Small or Big bet regardless of the total.
A player may also bet on totals, where the total of
the three dice must match a number between four and seventeen; on a
Specific Triple, where all three faces must show a specific number;
on Any Triple, where all three faces must be the same; on Any Pair,
in which two faces must show a specific number; on Two Faces, where
a combination of two particular numbers appears; or on Dice Face, when
a predicted number shows up on one or more dice.
These terms can vary from casino to casino; however,
the meaning behind them is the same.
Once familiar with the types of bets that can be placed in Sic Bo, the rest is simple. A player only has to select the desired chip size, place the bet by clicking the appropriate wagering button, and push the "Roll" button to roll the dice. If the outcome matches the player's prediction, the game is won, and the table will automatically tally the winnings.
